Oh, I didn’t know you were in Atlanta! Then, not that far away, are the Smoky Mountains (http://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm). And it’s a bit of a drive, but I loved visiting the Outer Banks in North Carolina (http://www.outerbanks.org/).
