Oh, I didn't know you were in Atlanta! Then, not that far away, are the Smoky Mountains (http://www.nps.gov/grsm/index.htm). And it's a bit of a drive, but I loved visiting the Outer Banks in North Carolina (http://www.outerbanks.org/).

I loved Arches! But if you liked that, yes, you'd also like Bryce Canyon (http://www.nps.gov/brca/index.htm) for its hoodoos (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoodoo_(geology)). Zion was neat, but I didn't find it as interesting as the Grand and Bryce.

Nearby is also Yosemite in California (http://www.nps.gov/yose/index.htm), and Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons in Wyoming (http://www.nps.gov/yell/index.htm and http://www.nps.gov/grte/index.htm). A little closer to home - maybe a good stop on your way to Utah - is the Badlands in South Dakota (http://www.nps.gov/badl/index.htm).

Oh my! You know Anderson Cooper?! :)
I know what you mean about keeping up social contacts, sometimes it is nearly impossible to fit everything into your schedule. I guess that is the transition from college to working life. In college everything is so fast, and in your face. Friends are living right next to you, and a person's time is so focused on all the activities at school. Once you leave college, you have to look at life differently, and everything is more long term. Your job, friends, hobbies and goals all take on a broader sense of time, instead of a just a semester to semester basis. That being said, don't worry about keeping up like we use to, our friendship is much more long term than the fast pace that college was. Hopefully that makes sense! hah :)
I like the new look of the website, looking forward to seeing what you post next!
